Honor 20 Pro leaked images show punch hole camera and slim bezels
The upcoming flagship smartphone from Huawei’s sub-brand – Honor 20 – is scheduled to launch on May 21 in London. Earlier, some leaks and camera renders of the upcoming smartphone had surfaced online showing what it would look like. Weeks ahead of the official launch of the device, another leak has surfaced online which shows the front of the Honor 20 Pro. In the leaked image, it can be seen that the Honor 20 Pro will be housing a hole-punch notched display. Although this is not the first time Honor is coming with a hole-punch cut out display as we have already seen it on the Honor View 20, but this time the hole punch will be bigger than before.
The Honor 20 Pro is expected to be powered by the 7nm Kirin 980 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It should also feature fast charging support, Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9 software, and other features borrowed from the Huawei P30 series. We should know all the details in a few weeks!
HONOR 20 SPECIFICATION
What about the specification? Let’s start with the camera. The latest leaked images indicate the Honor 20 Pro may have the same, or very similar, camera features as the Huawei P30 Pro. This means a periscope zoom system, potentially capable of a 5x optical zoom and a 10x hybrid zoom, plus a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor. The Honor 20 may have a three-lens camera, without the ToF sensor.
Previous rumors have said the Honor 20 may have the same 48-megapixel camera seen on the Honor View 20, along with a 20-megapixel second lens, and a third 8-megapixel lens too. The number 4 hints that appear in the event invitation further suggest one of the new Honor 20 phones will have four camera lenses.
Other potential specs state the screen is supposed to measure 6.1 inches, and contain the fingerprint sensor — a first for the Honor brand. A choice of 6GB or 8GB of RAM will be offered, with 128GB or 256GB storage capacities, and the device will be powered by a Kirin 980 processor and a 3650mAh battery.
As for the other specs, the phone could come with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. A Kirin 980 SoC may power the device with 3,650mAh battery.
